CURRENT PARTNER

Their Mission:

Uncle Neil's Home is a Farm Sanctuary was founded by Rian Feldman and Scooter Belasco in December 2019. They're dedicated to rescuing farmed animals while educating and advocating for a compassionate, vegan and cruelty-free lifestyle to make our world a kinder place for all.

Why we support them:

The founders began their rescue journey with dog rescue, until quickly realizing that being a voice for the voiceless should not only apply to the animals that we consider family and welcome into our homes, but to all living beings. After rescuing their dog, Uncle Neil, and nursing him back to help, Rian and Scooter became inspired to take the unconditional love that they have for Uncle Neil and spread it to other animals in need.

They were already vegan and abstained from exploiting animals in any way, but they wanted to do more. They decided to purchase a farm and turn it into a safe haven for rescued farmed animals. They named the sanctuary Uncle Neil’s Home, and began their mission to rescue farmed animals and give them a lifelong home, while educating and advocating for a compassionate, cruelty-free, vegan lifestyle.

PAST PARTNERS

FARM SANCTUARY
Their Mission:

To protect farm animals from cruelty, inspire change in the way society views and treats farm animals, and promote compassionate vegan living.

Why we support them:

They protect animals, through their sanctuaries and rescuing and adoption of animals and to promote change, including through legislation activism like getting Costco to say no to battery cages.

CURE CERVICAL CANCER
Their Mission:

To detect and prevent cervical cancer around the globe; train local healthcare providers in a procedure called "See and Treat"; and donate the equipment necessary to sustain these permanent clinics.

Why we support them:

They provide cost-effective screening and treatment to women who need it most and efficiently provide the skills and knowledge necessary to establish sustainable and permanent cervical cancer screening clinics.

BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT
Their Mission:

To secure the release of dogs and other animals and give them a chance at a normal home life after everything they have endured for vanity and scientific curiosity.

Why we support them:

To date, Beagle Freedom Project has rescued over 500 beagles, mixed-breed hounds, cats, rabbits, ponies, pigs, goats, guinea pigs, rats, and even goldfish from laboratories. Beagle Freedom Project has given hope and homes to these research survivors in 35 states and 6 countries.

PAW WORKS
Their Mission:

To address animal overpopulation and abandonment through adoption, as well as education, awareness and community programs focused on spaying, neutering, training and veterinary care.

Why we support them:

They are dedicated to partnering with county and city shelters to give abandoned animals a second chance at life. Paw Works also focuses on community education and awareness to help overcome the obstacles that lead to pet abandonment, and they provide free spaying and neutering in low-income areas. Their community programs for children help shape how the next generation interacts with animals and teach young people about animal rescue and responsible pet ownership, so they can help spread the word.

BEAUTY BUS FOUNDATION

Their Mission:

Beauty Bus was founded in memory of Melissa Marantz Nealy, whose life was cut short at the young age of 28 by a degenerative neuromuscular disease. Melissa became homebound as her disease progressed. In an effort to lift her spirits, her family arranged for in-home haircuts, manicures, and facials. Melissa said these treatments made her feel "human again."

Why We Support Them:

The impact on Melissa's emotional well-being was profound. She felt nurtured by the beauty professionals who provided a momentary escape from her disease. Melissa’s family founded Beauty Bus Foundation in 2009 to offer this same experience of dignity, hope and respite to other families when they need it most.
